General Information:

 

  • Camp Whatchamacallit runs Monday to Friday 9:00 am - 5:00 pm

  • Campers can be dropped off at the Camp Whatchamacallit door (Field House Glass Entrance) between 8:30–9:00am and must be picked up between 5:00–5:30pm

  • Early Drop Off is available for parents/guardians who need to drop campers off between 7:15-8:30am. The cost is $25 per week extra per child. Children must be registered & pay in advance for early drop off service.

  • Camp Whatchamacallit operates mainly in the Aquarena and Field House including the outdoor fields on The Works grounds. However, there maybe outings to other areas on campus. For further information please check your child’s weekly camp schedule

  • Camp Whatchamacallit will not run on the day the Royal St. John’s Regatta goes ahead.

  • If your child is sick or will not be attending camp we ask that you notify the camp office at 864-4422 that day so the camp counsellor will know not to expect your child.

 

Check-In & Check-Out Procedures:

  • Campers must be checked in and out by a parent/guardian with their child’s camp counsellor on the upper level of the Field House during regular pick up and drop off times.

  • If your child needs to be picked up outside the regular pick up times (noted above), please advise your child’s counsellor as soon as possible to coordinate the specific time and location for pick up.

 

Campers Must Bring Daily:

  • Sneakers (non-marking soles) *No Heeleys!* 

  • Extra shorts & t-shirt

  • Swim wear & towel

  • Campers should bring a packed lunch or a canteen lunch is available for purchase. For canteen lunches parents/guardians must complete an order form and make payment at the Camp Whatchamacallit office or Field House Customer Service Desk at least one day in advance.

  • Parents/guardians should provide two nutritious snacks

  • Parents/guardians must ensure their child brings sunscreen every day. Should a child require help applying their sunscreen, parents/guardians need to let their counsellor know at the beginning of camp.

  • All weather clothing (i.e. long pants, warm clothing, rain gear, jacket, etc)

  • It is recommended that parents/guardians write their child’s name on all items to help identify the owner should items be misplaced. The Works is not responsible for lost or stolen items.

 

*The Works and Camp Whatchamacallit is not responsible for lost or stolen items. As well - Camp Whatchamacallit recommends that valuables such as electronic devices, Mp3 players, iPods, iPhones, cellphones, personal gaming devices/games (PSP, DS, DSi), etc. be left at home.*

 

Credit/Refund Policy - Medical Reasons Only:

  • Refund/credit requests will not be processed without original receipt of payment and medical note .

  • Refund/credit application forms are available at the Field House or Aquarena Customer Service Desks. Completed forms must be passed into the Camp Office with your medical note and receipt.

  • No refund or credit will be issued if we receive your application after the second day of each weekly camp.

  • Credits and Refunds will be subject to a $10 administration fee plus the cost of days received/or passed up to the refund/credit application submission date.

  • Please allow 30 days for processing of refunds/credits.
